In addition, iOS 14.5.1 also has fixed two security bugs related with WebKi. The bug, which could be exploited to create malicious Web page that lead any code executing. Apple has settled it in iOS 14.5.1 at present.Therefore, for those who has upgraded the official version of iOS 14.5, Apple suggests them to upgrade to iOS 14.5.1.In addition, Apple also released an update to iOS 12.5.3 for older models that can't upgrade or downgrade iOS 14. It’s a security update that also fixes bugs in the Web page. However, a problem arose when the firstusers said a "reduce iPhone speed incident" appeared after using the new system.Nick Ackerman, a YouTuber, confirmed what everyone suspected, and the results were surprising: both iPhone 11 and 12 perform worse than iPhone XR, which released years ago after upgrading to the latest system.According to some users’ complaint, comparing with iPhone 11, the video rendering speed of iPhone XR is more quickly. If so, iPhone 12 doesn’t have a good performance than the former version iPhones. At present, the old iPhone 8 perform normally. Few users also said that they felt a little bit stuck obviously after the upgrade. Some netizens complained Apple about iOS 14.5.1 seems to limit the performance.Developers said, repeated testing has confirmed that Apple has imposed CPU limitations on iPhone 11 and 12 series devices in iOS14.5.1, causing both devices to run slowly. This limitation is different from heat limitation. Developers have also tested it at low temperatures without heat, and the performance of the iPhone 11 and 12 are still significantly declined.

Besides, there is no speed reduction problem after other iPhone devices are upgraded to iOS14.5.1 system, so don’t have to worry about.By now, there was no official response from Apple about above situation.

Apple ever paid $3.4 million forslow down incident

In the second quarter of fiscal 2021, iPhone’s revenue was $47.938 billion, up 65.52% over the last year, accounting for 53.51% of revenue. According to Strategy Analytics,in the first quarter of this year, Apple shipped 57million iPhones worldwide, up 44% over the last year, putting it in second place with a 17 percent market share.Strategy Analytics appointed that in the first quarter of 2021, global 5G iPhone shipments reached a record 40.4 million. During the quarter, Apple's global 5G smartphone market share was 30%.
